The Nokia 5310 is an all-rounder in features and style: compact and super-skinny at 103.8 x 44.7 x 9.9 mm, and light at only 70 g in stylish aluminium. It offers a 16 million colour, 240 x 320 pixel display, 30 Mbytes’ internal memory and a MicroSD slot for further storage capacity.

The highlight, though, is XpressMusic – the Nokia equivalent of the Walkman – with a dedicated audio chip and ergonomically-friendly music playback buttons. These control tabs sit proud from the surface, so are easy to locate when the device is hidden in a pocket or purse. A “record” feature enables you to record a personal voice message to send to compatible devices.
