Compare 8520 Curve purple Deals
Complete with a new idea: the touch-sensitive Trackpad to replace the trackball on previous Curve models, RIM’s Blackberry Curve 8520 quadband device in voluptuous violet is replete with features for the busy business user.
At 109 x 60 x 14 mm and weighing only 106g, the 8520 is both palm friendly and light. Web connectivity is via EDGE, supporting SMS, MMS, IM, and push email (with attachment viewer) messaging options. There is a 2 megapixel camera with 5 x digital zoom, with a 2.4-inch (320 x 240 pixel resolution) display to view the results – plus a video camera. Internal memory is a healthy 256 Mbytes, plus a microSD memory card slot.
Other connectivity options include WiFi, Bluetooth 2.0 with Enhanced Data Rate - for the best in short-range wireless data transfer and wireless headset use – and a USB wired link. Hurrah for RIM in including a standard 3.5 mm stereo headset port (or for plugging into your car stereo).
Additional functions include voice dialling, a voice memo recorder, vibration alert and a host of personal organiser functions.
Battery life is rated at up to 4.5 hours’ talk time and 400 hours on standby from a full charge.
