Compare RAZR2 V8 Deals
The Motorola RAZR2 V8 Espresso is a sleek, multi-featured flip top phone of stainless steel, chrome and hardened glass (but with a plastic feel). Measuring 11.9 x 103 x 53 mm and weighing 117 g, it slips into the ultra-thin category and certainly wins points for style.
A quad-band phone for potential global roaming and with GPRS/EDGE for Web connectivity with a WAP 2.0 and HTML browser. Wireless connectivity is via Bluetooth with A2DP for file transfers with compatible devices within a 30-feet range, as well as a slot for micro USB.
It has a 2 megapixel camera with 8 x zoom, though no flash. Often called the “RAZR squared”, the Espresso has two 240x320 TFT QVGA 320 x 420 pixels screens: one internal 2.2" and a two-inch external touchscreen that is characterized by the Contextual Touch Interaction system, making it touch-sensitive, particularly for music controls.
Organiser features abound, including calendar, calculator, currency converter, clock, alarm, hands-free speaker and vibration alert. There is a voice memo and voice recognition dialling.
Messaging options are SMS with predictive text, enhanced messaging and MMS – you can attach pictures and sounds – plus email. The MotoSync system enables over-the-air synchronisation of emails, calendar and phonebook. A top-of-the-line music player supports all standard music formats such as MP3, governed by the external music controls.
Internal memory is 420 Mbytes, expandable up to 2GB with a memory card and the V8 Espresso is rated at eight hours’ talk time or 280 hours on standby from a full charge.
