The INQ Mini 3G is a social networking mobile, offering Twitter and 3G internet connection in a small (46 x 13 x 103mm), lightweight (90g) package. Switch on and you are greeted with Twitter, Facebook, Instant Messaging and Skype on the “switcher” bar at the bottom of the home page. You can add other applications as you wish.

The screen of this solid bar phone is a 2.2-inch LCD affair (240 x 320 pixels resolution) above a fixed keypad, in a glossy finish with a sturdy build. The camera is very modest at 2 megapixels (unlike its predecessor, the INQ 1 with 3.2) with no flash or autofocus.

Ultimately, it’s a young person’s device in nature, but with quad-band for global roaming capability and 3G and EDGE for fast Web interaction, it packs a punch. Messaging options are SMS, MMS, IM and email. It has Bluetooth for short-range wireless data transfer and miniUSB for cabled transfer. Battery life has not yet been rated, but is said to be modest.
