Are you ready for more speculation over when the iPhone 5 is going to be released, folks? Well, that’s good, because that’s exactly what we have!
In recent news from Digitimes, a Chinese electronics manufacturer has told them that they have received orders for the iPhone 5, in time for a September launch – as well as orders for a new, 10 inch iPad 4.
Of course, how reliable this information is remains to be unseen: Digitimes isn’t exactly known for its accuracy when it comes to reporting information like this, and we here at MoneySupermarket don’t know how reliable the information coming from Pegatron technology is, either.
To further make us doubt this information, we’ve heard rumblings that the iPhone 5 will be announced at WWDC in June: – Apple usually like to unveil their new technology mere weeks before release, and an initial demonstration in early June followed by a release in September does’t make much sense – although it’s entirely possible that one (or both) of these pieces of information are incorrect.
The iPad rumour, on the other hand, seems unlikely: Apple are well known for releasing new technology in yearly cycles, and the current iPod is barely out the gates.
Also, why Apple would choose to switch up to a 10 inch screen from the current 9.7 inch size hasn’t been explained, especially when there’s so much talk of an iPad Mini showing up to stop Samsung’s Note having all the fun…
