Tesco Home Insurance offers both buildings insurance and contents insurance.
You can choose from one of three different levels of cover.
The most basic policy is Value cover, and the next step up is Standard cover.
Tesco Finest home insurance is the highest cover with extra benefits included for added peace of mind.
Tesco offers 50 per cent off for new customers with five years no claims, as well as discounts for Clubcard holders.
With Tesco Home Insurance, you get a 24-hour emergency helpline, UK-based call centres, a home repair network of approved builders, and a year's guarantee for work undertaken by those approved builders.
Over the festive season, Tesco home insurance offers an automatic month-long uplift to the value of home contents covered. On its Finest policy there is a 20% uplift whilst their Standard home insurance policy offers a 10% uplift.
Policy limits
Cover for buildings and accidental damage to building is unlimited; there is £2 million liability as a property owner, £35,000 alternative accommodation, and £2,000 protection against damage caused by the emergency services.
With contents cover, the maximum claim limit will be shown on your policy schedule.
The limits on valuable single items vary according to the level of policy chosen. With Value cover it is £1,500, with Standard cover it is £2,000, and with Finest cover it is £3,000.

Get a quote
With home insurance, it can be very tempting to simply renew your policy with your existing insurer at renewal time.
However, with household budgets stretched to their limits, it is more important than ever to get a good deal on your cover, and this means shopping around to compare quotes.
This will ensure you find the best deal to suit your circumstances - and avoid paying over the odds.
Bear in mind that you may be able to save money by buying a combined buildings and contents insurance policy - but check before signing up.
Tesco Home Insurance is one of over 75 companies that provide quotes for the MoneySupermarket's home insurance comparison service.
