Policy limits
LV= home insurance offers up to £1milion cover for buildings as standard.
This includes loss or damage from fire, water, theft, storm and subsidence, and accidental damage to windows and cables.
This also includes access to a 24-hour claim line and 24-hour domestic emergency helpline, and loss of keys.
Policies include £25,000 of cover for alternative accommodation, £1,000 loss or damage to hedges and trees, and £2 million property owner's liability.
With LV= home insurance, you can choose to cover up to £150,0000 of contents. This includes loss or damage from fire, water, theft and storm, accidental damage to TV and computer equipment, and access to the claims line and helpline.
It also includes £2,500 of cover for theft from sheds or outbuildings, £10 million for liability for cleaners or gardeners, and £2 million personal liability.
Any individual item worth more than £1,500 must be added to your policy.
LV= also offers a home contents estimator tool to help you calculate the value of your possessions.
