• Re: Offshore banking recommendation

Re R85: I did say it isn't kosher :-) As for a UK postcode, obviously you'd use the same address you gave the bank. Yes, there's a (small) risk of being found out, although it's not clear what would happen if you were - after all you've not evaded any tax, you're not liable for any anyway. Anyway, the reason for mentioning ...

Most likely Google cookies. Internet Explorer 8 says the site is safe, and you can use the privacy link at the bottom to turn off Google advert "interest" tracking, if you care. Anyway, as my name gives away, I had (still have, unfortunately) money in Landsbanki Guernsey, and I found that everything the site reports about Guernsey is ...

  • Re: Offshore banking recommendation

Before going for an offshore account, take a good look at www.safeoffshoreaccounts.com, or any of the other websites on the matter, and all the threads here from people who've lost money in offshore accounts, and avoid the sleepless nights.... Having said that, HSBC is probably one of the least likely to go under (no guarantees!). Best ...

Smit1970:Perhaps I am mistaken, I thought it was a Guernsey registered company. You are clearly more in the clique than I am, No, I just read the information openly available. Click on the link at the bottom of the LGDAG home page and you can too. and your "commercialism" comments seemingly do not apply to limited companies - go ...

I really have no idea what you're talking about. I'm a relative newcomer to the online campaigns, sites, forums, etc, and have no "pals" in it all, but conspiracy theories do always give me a good laugh! There's no secret as to who LGDAG are and who owns the site. It's a UK registered non-profit company and their website ...

CALPESPAIN: This could be one of the reasons why the website of LGDAG only attracts about 12% of depositors compared to the KSFDAG(IOM)one which has over a 20% take up of a similar site. Or it could be 'cos the KSFDAG(IOM) site lets anybody and everybody sign up without any checking at all. I know, I'm a member and I'm not, and never ...

chipper 60:I can see little evidence of meetings taking place amongst depositors and wonder why this is. You can't have looked very far. There's been a couple of meetings in Guernsey, each with 100 depositors present, and a couple in Jersey with 50. Try looking in the "Agendas and Minutes of Meetings" discussion forum. The ...
