Hi All,
I've been on here alot lately and been asking questions about whether now would be a good time for us to move.
Three and a half years ago I had six defaults registered against me because I was having a hard time, it was stupid but I've maintained payments and last month paid off all my debt. They aren't showing settled on my ...

Hi and thank you for your reply. Unfortunately our house is 25% owned by the housing assocation anyway. We took on the homebuy scheme just over four years ago. We contacted them in the spring and they said that because we already had a house we wouldn't make the list. They did say that we could apply for new build homebuys but we'd have to ...

Hi all,
I've been around here a few times lately and after months of moaning at my husband got him to check his credit file. Both of us were shocked to learn that he's in the excellent category dispite having a default, which actually isn't appearing on his file. Do you think it would would be best to keep paying the same or is it okay to just add £200 to the new total a month?
I only ask because it would be nice to save a few pounds for the next year!
Thanks

Thank you for the advice. I check my credit report every few months and too be honest there needs to be a great deal of improvement before we will be accepted by a high street lender again. I have three years until all my defaults would have disappeared. Some of them are in two years but a couple are the end of 2012. Our current ...

Hello,
Our fixed rate mortgage ends in a few months and I've started looking at the option of remortgaging. A couple of years ago we remortgage through a broker to a mortgage company that accepts sub-prime borrowers. I've made some financial mistakes in the passed and have some defaults registered against me. A few have been paid off and ...

Hi,
That seems to be a pretty average score. I won't even mention mine but I still got a mortgage. The better the score the better interest rate you are likely to get.

Hi all,
I've just received my annual mortgage statement and its left me some what baffled. I will try to explain as simply as I can. About 18 months ago we remortgaged to a company but due to our credit problems we couldn't get a main stream lender but thats not really the issue. We have a repayment mortgage and we pay £540.89 a ...

Hi Barrie,
I'm not sure if you got your mortgage sorted in the end but I'm currently looking to buy a 3 bed new build shared ownership property with the HO. Its the very eary stages and we have a property to sell.
Do you have any advice? Was as easy as they said. We bought our first property with their help and it was not easy, in fact ...
