• Re: MoneySupermarket champion a loan shark

Conmankiller, ok, I'll be reasonable. Of course I have listened to you. What you say (time and time again) is this: Blame yourself, blame Firstplus, but DONT bame MSM. What I am saying in ALL my posts, is this: Yes I blame myself, yes I blame Firstplus, and no I do not blame MSM (it is a business, not a charity) BUT I think MSM should be ...

Oh Dear ... looks like it's all about you having the "last word" Commandkiller! It looks like all one says to you enters your ear and exits from the other ear ....Have your final shout then! I wonder who's the kid here? What's the point. You remind me of an old, nice ticket controller in the (now defunct) British Rail ... he ...

  • Re: MoneySupermarket champion a loan shark

I certainly read my agreement dear Commandkiller, and it said interest rates are variable. I understand this as going up OR down according to market conditions, and I bet so would you. I did not understand this as rates will only go up, even when cost of money is zero. But, like I said, rant is not about having signed on the dotted line. Thanks ...

  • Re: MoneySupermarket champion a loan shark

I am standing by Halifax and PPI UK, 100%. None of us dispute that we signed on the dotted line. What we dispute is the way in which Firstplus abuses its terms and conditions NOW, when rates are at an historical low... when FP stopped lending to new customers, MSN suffered a huge loss too, right? ... surely MSN too were big boys, who signed the ...

  • Re: Interest on Secured Variable Rate Loan

Dear FormerFP-G I for sure am sure that FP would OF COURSE have passed the T&C with a fine comb before releasing them! ... Do you seriously mean we would not have thought about this? ...are you presuming, unwittingly or otherwise, that you are talking to a bunch of fools here?...maybe we were at the moment we took out loans with FP, granted, ...

  • Re: Interest on Secured Variable Rate Loan

Ian, Emma and everyone yes, this clause is the only reason why some rates have reduced, and some other not. Let me explain why. In february 2008 FHBR was 6.5%. In february 2009 FHBR is 3%. So the variance is -3.5%, and twice the variance is -7%. This means that if between feb 2008 and 2009 your firstplus rate was reduced by more than 7%, then ...

  • Re: Interest on Secured Variable Rate Loan

Thank you Mike ... OMG. I do (did) have a Barclaycard and *just today* settled it and cancelled it, because my credit limit was slashed down TWICE after I made a substantial repayment (and I have a perfect credit file, so I was really baffled and outraged)... is this what you mean by Barclaycard writing down accounts? You mean credit cards (and ...
