DumbBlonde:These companies literally have a license to steal money. They set whatever rules and regulations they wish in order to make a profit of their choice and whatever the market conditions. The indiviidual is not protected at all with FP Only weapon individuals have is bad publicity that these companies get on public forums like ...

Hi, this is a message for Crocky...I hope you're still following this thread. Thanks to your words of wisdom and advice back in December/January I finally had a response from the Financial Ombudsman this week who have upheld my PPI mis-sell complaint and ordered Firstplus to award us £500 compensation. I haven't had any response ...

  • HSBC refuse to close account and now unfair charges

Hi, my little sis has a HSBC loan and a HSBC bank account. When she opened her new Natwest bank account a couple of years ago she tried to close her HSBC account but they wouldn;t let her because she has a loan. They insisted that she keep the account open and pay a Standing Order into it every month for the loan amount so they could take the loan ...

Hi Donnerking. If you were told you HAD to take out PPI or the loan would not be given, you have a solid case for mis-selling and you should ask for a full refund of premiums paid plus interest and for the loan to be re-written as if you had not taken out PPI, this will help to reduce the balance you owe. Even though you claimed the premiums back ...

  • Re: Interest on Secured Variable Rate Loan

Firstplus are stubborn ba****ds and people power is obviously not going to make them budge. We are just getting lame excuses and non answers to any of our questions. The contempt they have of their customers is very apparent. If the regulatory bodies don't get off their backsides and hold them accountable, then legal action is the way we have ...

Hi Mike, I thought we haven't heard much from you recently! I have lots of things going on with this, so not sure which bit you're asking about! Here's where I am at the moment: PPI Mis-sell claim turned down by FP, they rely heavily on the conversation my husband had with their sales person and they did not even address my ...
