• Re: Council tax?

Thanks very much conmankiller - my local council's website is nowhere near as helpful (can't find anything relevant) but this at least gives an indication. Surely they must have realised I was earning though? What a mess. My parents have another visit next week - perhaps I'll try and be here. Along the same lines, but as you know ...

  • Council tax?

Evening all, Have a question - not sure if anyone can help at all? My parents are both on income support due to disability, I am about to move out next month and will therefore start paying council tax in my new property. However, the council have now said that I may have had to pay council tax since I turned 18? I have been in full-time ...

  • Re: AVOID AXA OF EVIL!

H19, I avoid them like the plague after having my shared apartment broken into abroad, myself and my firends policies (with the same insurer) were underwritten by them. We both had exactly the same circumstances, evidence and proof, yet they paid her out and not me! When we called to ask why they said they couldn't discuss each other's ...

  • Re: increasing overdraft facility

Hi Johnni, glad it helped. When you look on your pre-approved offers it'll say if you can get a Barclayloan as well, this info is the same as the limits they have for you in branch. Because it's preapproved this is what they have decided before you even apply, so if says you aren't eligible, definitely don't apply! Each application ...

  • Re: increasing overdraft facility

Johnni, The 5k is just the maximum they'll allow for anyone with the same account as yours. It doesn't mean you're pre-approved for that unfortunately. To be honest with you, a leap to £4000 from £250 is huge, and I can't see that you'd get that amount unless you had wages going in each month to clear that amount. ...

  • Re: Thanks for getting our forum back to normal Moneysupermarket!

I don't think you misunderstood me, to be perfectly honest I used to find MS an education, somewhere I could pick up advice I wouldn't usually have such easy access to, and share what little I knew with those that also came here to learn and for help. Recently I've found I'm learning less and instead trawling through hot topics ...

I'm not sure what all the hoo-ha was over the weekend (I only tend to post on threads I know something about), but this thread is so sickly-sweet it's made me nauseous.

  • Re: Insurance

I'm not entirely sure, but I think my parents did this up until two years ago with Royal London? It's quite a good scheme to be in!

  • Re: Some Advice!

Hi Aldinho, Are you looking for a joint loan then? If you are or not, the best place to start would be by obtaining copies of credit reports for whichever of you both is applying. There are 3 main credit rating companies, however if you go to Credit Expert you can get a free copy of your Experian report (you sign up for a 30-day trial, ...

  • Re: Young Driver Insurance Tips

RGB: However, I am yet to meet a woman than can reverse park into a bay in the first and second attempt. Next time you are out in Tesco or Asda, keep your eye out. RGB, you obviously haven't met enough women! I refuse to park in any other way but reversing in, and have never had to worry about more than one attempt! ...
