    FAO fixed term account holders: My bond matured on 15th May. I received a cheque on Friday 15th May, and it cleared on Thursday 21st May. Good service - I hope the rest of you are as fortunate as me. Good luck all

    Maybe the AA - 1 year bond 4.55%, or Birmingham Midshires - 1 year bond 4.2%? Am about to post my paper forms for my bond (expires May). Are we expecting to get acknowledgement that the money will indeed be paid? Has anyone with a long-term bond got any acknowledgement? Cheers

    Sorry to go over old ground, but just to check - I have found an active direct debit in my natwest account for the icesave bond deposit I made on 27th May. Should I delete it? Cheers

    I am equally confused roger! I found this in the Times 12th October: &quot;Anglo Irish, alongside the Bank of Ireland, which owns Post Office accounts, is not fully covered by the FSCS, so savers would need to apply first to the Irish scheme. Ireland guarantees 100% of deposits, so there should be no need for savers to call on the UK scheme ...
