    Great News Today! Got a lettter from FSCS today to confirm that I will get allmy money back on the 3rd of September, plus interest of &pound;16,975.00. Off to the pub then!!

    My bond matures in September. I stand to gain about 16K on my 300K investment. The best place has got to be to purchase a holiday home. I have already borrowed 250k to get the ball rolling on a decent place which will see circa 8% return over a year. Fiddling about with BS is a wast of time IMOP. Simon

    Brilliant news. Good luck to all who have had the 2nd e.mail. Has anybody had the confimatory letter yet? I am keeping my 300k bond in until maturity (Sept 09). Should get my letter in the next few weeks............no panic yet! Simon

    I have opened accounts with Alliance &amp; Leicester, Bradford &amp; Bingley, Birmingham Midshires, Coventry BS and Citibank so far!.

    After a call to financial services (very helpful), I decided to let my bond run until Sept 09. The interest rate (7.1% gross), is still very competitive, and the money is 100% safe. Hopefully by next September the dust will have settled a bit and a new home(s), can then be found for the cash. Simon.

    More good news.................... I have just checked my linked account.......payment had been made via financial services as promised. Just waiting for the paperwork on my 1 year bond now. Its great to have money back that at one point I never thought I would see again!. Simon
