Supply and demand.
The customer does not want to pay more

yes you send it back to the court where it was issued and you need to make an offer you can afford and be able to back the offer up with a financial statement showing your income and expenditure. (send back with the N245)
The name won't make any difference just make sure it is obvious on the documentation that you have changed your name.

You will need to fill in an N245 variation order to pay in installements you get get these from the court website
http://www.hmcourts-service.gov.uk/
I think it costs around £35 to process. You will need to do this ASAP before any further action is taken.

speak to your official reciever and I think you will find that if they are going to be unreasonable you will be able to include it within the Bankruptcy or at least the official reciever will be able to give you advice as that is what they are there for.

Was this a private sale or from a garage?

It's funny as the IVA Council says they are not for profit yet they are charging their clients £1,050 to go Bankrupt and this does not include the court fees the individual would have to spend. They claim the client will get their money back when they get all their fees back from the mis-sold IVA.
Cowboys!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If you are on a good DMP then the company who you have this with should do what they are being paid for and deal with it for you.
Have you made them aware of this?
If you take out further credit you will break the terms and conditions of the DMP and also getting further credit out is never the answer.
Default notices are nothing to worry about ...

Me and the wife were thinking of starting a business up and building it up for the next few years and then sell it hopefully for a healthy profit.
