• Re: life insurance or life assurance

Hi Suzanne, they are both the same in reality, just industry speak. You have two options - level term (which is where you insure a fixed value of say £100k over a 20 year period) or mortgage protection which specifically covers your mortgage and the level of cover decreases in line with the outstanding mortgage balance. As these are complex ...

  • Re: Which Phone, TV, Broadband Package?

To be honest of you want Sky Sports then going with Sky Speak See Surf would probably be the most cost effective option - £16 per month includes 2 mb, FREE WIRELESS ROUTER, unlimited evening and weekend calls and 4 entertainment mix TV channels. £15 online credit is also available at present which would reduce your installation costs ...

  • Re: Getting a contract with bad credit?

I would have to disagree about the actual cost of handsets - an entry level phone with minimal functions costs around £60 - £80 in the trade, a mid range phone like a Nokia 6300 is probably around £100 and something like an N95 would be £350 plus.....dont forget that the network subsidises all handset costs and then the ...

  • Re: bt rubbish speed

Hi Oxo This is just the kind of problem that drives us mad here - the subject of speed. BT do not have particularly fast connection speeds at the best of times (confirmed by our most recent Speedtest survey - results to be published on the site later this week) although they are not particularly worse than the majority of providers. In terms of ...

  • Re: "New" Apple iPhone.........?

wait for the 3g version - 2g is very slow and wastes the unlimited data bundle offered as part of the package - you will get so frustrated trying to access internet over 2g that you wont bother. Maybe the new phone will also have a better camera as the current 2meg one is rubbish! I am not sure when the new handset launches though - o2 are being ...

  • Re: Apple Iphone

It is, but this is a little misleading - the unlimited data is 2G rather than 3G so any web surfing/mail downloads will be S-L-O-W, the only way to access fast data is via wi-fi which isnt exactly freely available unless you want to sit in Starbucks all day. Personally I have an N95 on O2 with data - 3.5G web surfing in some areas, guaranteed 3G ...

  • Re: Apple Iphone

Its pretty risky buying sim free - apple are super hot on sending regular software updates which are also designed to re-lock the handset. You may also struggle to access iTunes through your PC as again this is linked to the IMEI code within the handset itself. I would not recommend buying sim free at present as you will pay more upfront and then ...

  • Re: Broadband... which ISP?

O2 would be my recommendation at the moment based on customer service, cost etc 8meg/free wireless router/unlimited downloads/free customer and tech support. £12.50 per month so not the cheapest but you usually get what you pay for. If you have an o2 contract or PAYG phone you save £5 per month - as long as you register with ...

  • Re: Broadband... which ISP?

If you have Sky TV already then the cheapest solution would be Sky Broadband - if in an available area this can be free with speeds of upto 2 meg - this may be sufficient for what you intend to use. O2 have a very good record in terms of customer service and reliability - this would be my recommendation if you are looking for service over ...
