John asked how was he traced to his current address.
I heard recently of someone else who was traced to a new address after many, many years and does not in fact now live at the 'new address' but had lived at that 'new address' temporarily.
The Debt Collectors claimed that they had a 'trace' placed on the person to ...

To lofty and anyone else who has a problem with their Bank or a proposed Bank. Make a formal complaint. The Bank then have to deal with the complaint. If the Bank's response is unsatisfactory, then send on your complaint to the FS Ombudsman Service. Simply the threat of being reported to the Ombudsman is often sufficient to make these ...

R-S
No, R-S, unlike you I am not a nosey parker?! ;o)
There is no smoke and no mirrors. I am simply not prepared to breach a confidence to satisfy some ignorant nosey parker as to the exact particulars of a particular transaction of which I am aware.
Suffice to say, that until a short while ago there were probably a number of the smaller ...

Sorry meant to say "no matter how many Accounts one holds .. IN ONE SINGLE LICENCE HOLDING INSTITUTION OR BANK ... and no matter how much ...."
That is one payout of £35,000.00 for each SINGLE Licence holding Bank or Institution, even though Accounts with various subsidiaries, such as the RBS and Birmingham Midshires or whomever ...

So it would appear that the sum guaranteed is £35,000 per Bank or Institution no matter how ...

Nevertheless, the point I was making was that there is money and assistance out there, you have to go and find it.
Go and sound out your existing Lenders. That should normally have been a Borrower's first port of call, although obviously now somewhat diluted by the attractions of all the competing Lenders, low fixed rate or other ...

Well Mr XX and mick12
Just shows how wrong you both are.
There is also absolutely no FRAUD, mortgage or otherwise by any of the Borrower(s) or the Lender(s) and it is extremely offensive that you should suggest such, just because you yourself(ves) have not been able to access or benefit from such an arrangement under present circumstances.
So ...

Yes, this is a normal residential Additional mortgage, not self-certified, applied for after the redundancy. The Lender knows of the redundancy and I have been asked not to disclose who the Lender is, at this point in time, as there are apparently some outstanding issues, which the Borrower may be taking up with the Ombudsman/Watchdog, on breaches ...

OOo err that was a bit of a shock, but at least you do now have an Account and Lloyds did used to have some advantages for Students, such as low interest loan rates to pay back Student borrowings for a couple of years after you leave College or Uni. Mind that is speaking from my experience with lLoyds back in 1982 to 1985 - about 20 years ago!!! ...
