• Help! Which isa?

Hi there, I currently have a mini-isa with ING Direct, which only has about £800 in at present. I do have another £1200 which I would like to deposit, but I'm thinking it might be a good idea to switch to someone who's offering more interest. I will also plan on making regular monthly deposits. Not really that fussed about ...

My min-isa is currently with ING Direct. Can I change it to someone else with a better rate? Would it be worth it, taking into consideration what might be involved? Any suggestions on who's coming out top at the moment. I've done a search but am getting confused with the account types (bonds or term, regular saver etc) and also with the ...

  • Re: Best way to earn a high rate of interest over a year please.

Thanks again for your advice mooreaz. I would actually be fine with making monthly deposits of £100 in addition to the lump sum that I have ready to put.......somewhere! So apologies if my original post was misleading against this. So I am confident that if this route was appropriate I wouldn't touch any of the funds within the 12 ...

Many thanks mooreaz and shiverkitten for your replies. So you would even advise against me going with the Halifax offshore savings account (Halifax International Regular Saver Account) http://www.halifax-international.com...c&source=NETP1 where you can receive 10% AER/Gross PA for one year, then the funds are transferred into the Sterling ...

VCM4: I've just noticed that my thread I posted earlier has since been deleted. No it hasn't, there were two of your similar posts in the unanswered post section, bottom right, you obviously just don't know where to look. ! Thanking you. I think that would have been because I posted two threads, but one was in the "Ask ...

  • Best way to earn high interest over one year.

I've just noticed that my thread I posted earlier has since been deleted. I can't think of any reason why this would have happened, therefore I am re-posting it. If there is a problem please can someone let me know, so I know for future, rather than just delete it. Hi there, First time post from a newbie here! I'm 27, in full ...

  • Best way to earn a high rate of interest over a year please.

Hi there, First time post from a newbie here! I'm 27, in full time employment with a desperate need to go travelling for a year or so. I've always struggled to save money but last year I opened up a mini-ISA with ING Direct. I've now got my hands on a little bit more money and also intend up selling A LOT of things to get some more ...
