• Re: Major buildings claim refused - £42000!

Precisely what I said somewhere in the above posts RE who/what is at fault and proximate causes etc. I still stand by this. The point here is that pford has exhausted Brit's complaint procedures and can do no more with them. This is now a matter for the Ombudsman who will be more than willing to look at the complaint given that Brit have given ...

  • Re: car insurance for young drivers, The proper alternative

Sulz You're missing the point here. The cost of £400 doesn't matter. In the slightest. It's the damage you could cause to others. Why are you getting £3900 anyway? Something isn't adding up here. Any mods, convictions, accidents. What size engine, type etc. What are you not telling us lol?

In one sentence? That's difficult. I wrote a novel on it before when 'Squirrel' (if memory serves) thought it was the way forward. Think it was this very thread but certainly on a MS thread. Hmm. One sentence. I'm struggling to condense all the faults into one. Hmm.... Okay.... ''Just look at the business model for this scheme'' ...?

  • Re: Can Mortgage Lender take out it's own Buildings Insurance even though I have it?

So you're saying that no where on paper has the mortgage company stated that they must be noted as an interested party? If not, have they added this condition by giving you notice of the requirement? I don't know of any insurer reluctant to add a noted party. It's beneficial for them to have this information. All broker software includes this ...

  • Re: Insurance question

Yes of course other convictions air dishonesty, such as fraud, deception etc. But you highlighted 'Theft' which is why I mentioned this. Equally though I would decline fraud and deception. I wouldn't even want to employ, work with or have any personal dealings with such people. You say that insurers whom accept convicted criminals find the ...

  • Re: Insurance question

The important thing to remember here from the OP is that it's a NON-ENDORSABLE OFFENCE. Nothing has been put on their licence and it's a parking contravention. Not quite sure why we have veered into 'convictions' as it's not one. It's also not a material fact as the information is not likely to affect the decision by a Underwriter. Yes, quite ...

  • Re: Insurance question

rsdelbs: Offence was captured by cctv, no police involvement, parked with all 4 wheels on the pavement. Fixed penalty issued via post. Moneysupermarket said I should declare it as a non endorseable offence, code NE99, unfortunately that will increase my premium. That's ridiculous. Don't declare it. The idea of ...

  • Re: Insurance question

These types of endorsable codes come under 'MSXX' or 'PCXX' where 'XX' is a code. The point here, as already stated, is that this is a non-endorsable offence. It's the same as driving without a valid MOT. You receive a £60 fine but no points. Nothing is put on the licence therefore do not need to declare. The OP ...

Blofeldt: Thanks Huckster, I'll respond to my lender accordingly and see if this ends the matter. Many thanks, B. I agree with Huckster. Although the matter won't be ended until you provide satisfactory proof that they have been noted on the policy. It's a mortgage condition for a reason. If anything happened to the structure ...
