• Re: help please

Having worked oin the finance industry for a number of years, and been impacted by the current credit climate, lenders criteria now is very strict in terms of missed payments on "unsecured", therefore if there are "secured" missed payments and no equity in your property, the likelyhood of obtaining a debt consol loan is very ...

  • Re: Inflation hits 5.2%

Inflation..... Personally I've been saying for the last 6 months that before April 09 we will top 7%. People laughed and said it wouldn't even hit 4.5%.... Even though the Base rate dropped, it will still need to drop, and although lenders have passed on the savinging to existing customers, the new deals on the market are still increasing ...

  • Re: First Plus interest rate.

FP loans are variable, this is stated when making the application and will be in the T&C's. Ufortunatly the BOE rate doesn't have bearing on the the rate increase.

  • Re: Welcome Loans!!

I agree with ajberry. I too would be inclined to think that there is more to your credit file than meets the eye. A small amount over a credit limit if rectified within the same month won't make a massive impact on your credit file. Rate is for risk, therefore if you are a high risk then the rate would be higher. If you don't feel you are ...

  • Re: Opening a second Current Account just in case.

Opening another account to separate your finances is never a bad thing. However, if you are doing it just because of the current financial market...... HBOS are unlikely to go under, the BOS group is very strong as it has numerous arms to it's business. Shares are low just due to the global credit crunch.

  • Re: Signed up for £9 broadband, trying to charge me more..

If you are within the 14 days since the date you took out the contract you can cancel. If not, then the only way would be to make an official complaint and demand that Virgin pull the call and it is listened too. If they still don't listen take it further should you need to do so. Are you paying by direct debit. If not is the £9 per ...

  • Re: 43k in Debt- Unsecured Debt Consolidation Advice? Help I am desperate!

"This does not take into account buying clothes that we need or any holidays or any leisure activities. We can't afford any luxury whatsoever. " I'm really sorry to sound harsh when I say this, but the debt that you accrued was of your own doing, therefore it is now your responsibility to repay, to which I know you are not ...

  • Re: ivas/Debt consolidation

A debt management, is a process where you come to an agreement with creditors to repay your debts. This is a non binding agreement to which the lenders don't have to accept your offer of repayment, nor are they legally obliged to agree or stick to the agreement. If the lenders don't like to offer of repayment, then they still have the ...

  • Re: Some Help and Advise Please

The current credit industry is a mine field for people who have excellent / good credit histories. In the last few months, lenders have become more stringent in lending to people with adverse credit. The rate that you have been offered you may feel is high, but due to your history, you are deemed to be classed as a very high risk compared to ...

  • Re: looking for a bad credit loan

From what I am aware of and I may be wrong, FLM's rates are around 52% (ish) gaurantor, needs someone to be a homeowner with no adverse credit. If you don't make the payments the person who is backing you, has to pay. As someone rightly pointed out the other day to me, if you have someone who is willing to back your application, and they ...
