I went live on the 30th although my router and hub phone didn't arrive. I was able to use my old talktalk Huawei router so fair do's. No wireless but it's access nonethe less so would do as an interim solution.

Before cancelling with talktalk I called to ask if, due to the fact that the screwed up my Broadband. They advised that I would not be charged.

HAve you tried updating the software? There was also a section in the handbook saying about if, after an update your phone stops working you can run a recovery option on it. Do you have your manual handy?

Tonight I checked the BT.com site and tried to sign up and I managed it. I think Perhaps BT took their time in taking the service off. Anyway. 30th of July is my go live date> I'll post in the BT forum if there's problems or even just to say what happens.

Ok, it's now 4 days later and nothing has been done.
Since orange are telling me that they cannot provide a MAC code since my account is closed I will just tell them to re-open it only to Issue me with a MAC.
These folk are total numpties.

This wouldn't be difficult. As long as a customer could prove beyond a resonable doubt that they have been mistreated. Keepign track of phone calls can be done by providing an itemised phone bill! And it wouldn't be too hard for someone to forward on all of their emails to a group.

Hi Folks. After my go-live date came and passed, and 4 calls to orange. They are telling me there is a problem with my MAC code (even though it is still valid for another 8 days from now.) They also have fobbed me off a coupel of times with ''our systems are down, please call back in 2 hrs time).

So far Tech support has been ok for me. No waiting time whatsoever.
