• Re: Rent to Buy

We've always wanted to own rather than rent, but a few personal issues sort of prevented us from doing so. Now things are sorted and we love where we are living, plus before we moved in, we noticed the flat was on the market, so an idea came to mind!

  • Rent to Buy

My partner and I are seriously considering approaching our landlord about possible continuing to rent our flat with the possibility of buying it. We live in a nice flat on the seafront in Brighton and we have a very flexible landlord. We have read a few sites, and seen some positive and negative feeds on ''rent to buy'' schemes. ...

  • Sqeaky floorboards

Living in my flat just over 1yr now and things were ok until June this year when the flat above me started having very noisy floorboards. The landlord was told about the problem and I got mixed reaction from him. On one hand he replied giving me permission to try solve the problem myself, when this was not possible and he was informed, he has now ...

  • Re: Banner Batteries

Thanks for the info. What's bothering me is they may have put some re-cycled battery or low grade used banner in my car. Now I know ''Banner'' is a genuine company as i've also found their website, but as you suggested why is there no label to mark to identify the battery? that's my worry.

  • Banner Batteries

Recently got my car battery changed and the garage put this battery in call a ''Superstart Maintance 3'' in my car. After a Trading standard ''worded'' letter was sent to them, they wrote back advising me the battery is called a Banner Battery part number 56205. My reason for doubting the type of battery was when I ...

  • Rent to Buy?

Has anyone heard of this site call; Renttobuy.co.uk? They are asking for people who are desperate to own a home to sign up to some new scheme, but after foolishly signing up with my details, I have notice there is no activity at all on their site. I am a little worried why they are collecting info.

  • Credit Card Company

Has eveyone ever heard of a credit card company call "E-Platinumplus.co.uk" My mate got a email from them yesterday and we spent some time trying to find out more about them, as we have never heard of this company. They do not appear on the FSA register nor Companies House list of Authorized genuine companies. Some feedback is welcome.

  • IVA

Has anyone done one and how much did it cost and which company did you use? I am seriously considering going down this route, but all the sites I look at seem to avoid giving some idea of how much it cost. It's ironic to see that U would have to pay hundreds of pounds to manage my debts when I am in debt because I owe hundreds of pound. ...
