  • Re: URGENT - PIPEX PETITION

I too am surprised that CISAS acted without a letter of deadlock. The first port of call should be ISPA. My own case and several others have been resolved this way without escalation. You first send an email or letter titled Official Complaint to Pipex Customer Care (now renamed Customer Relations I believe). State in it that this is a ...

Maybe you should read the earlier posts? You need to read more than one forum to get a balanced view. A lot of Pipex CS staff were confused about MACs - in particular LLU MACs, but have now upped their performance. As I said before, the new OFCOM regs have put the heat on. Many Pipex CS staff are under-trained and you sometimes ...

  • Re: URGENT - PIPEX PETITION

I have found that it is possibly better to cancel your contract and request a total cease order (via BT Wholsale) by phone contact and backed up in writing than trying the MAC route. Where did you find that? You need to be desperate to go that route. New OFCOM regs re MACs came in on 14 Feb so should be easier. A MAC migration gives minimum ...

  • Re: URGENT - PIPEX PETITION

''talk to your bank and see if they can help you out.'' There is no if about it. The DD Guarantee states: ''If the amounts to be paid by Direct Debit or the payment dates change, the organisation collecting the payment will notify you normally 10 working days in advance of your account being debited or as otherwise agreed. If an error ...

  • Re: cancelling pipex

dwightvesuvius: need to get out of this contract quick quick - when asking for mac code they said they would charge over 300 quid ! what's that all about? cheers You have signed a 12-month contract and if you cancel early you have to pay for the balance, unless you can make a case for the contract having been broken by Pipex.

Myriam:I will pay via more traditional routes! Don't use Credit Card other than for a one-off payment. If you set up a regular payment by CC you can't cancel payments. Safer to let them set up another DD arrangement and demand repayment from your bank for any mistakes. The bank cannot refuse - they have to get the money back from Pipex ...

@panicos ''I was smart not to set up a direct debit with pipex''. Probably not, as the only other way is Credit Card. You can cancel a Direct Debit but you cannot cancel a Credit Card agreement. @sezzica ''my polite letter stating my direct debit had been cancelled''. I presume you cancelled it with bank? Pipex have been known to ...

  • Re: Pipex customer service

Pipex Communications is the overall company. Pipex Internet is the original Pipex and any purchased ISPs that have been integrated. Pipex Homecall is the old Homecall company bought earlier this year by Pipex for its phone business. Pending integration, Pipex Homecall broadband is still provided by Tiscali. If your contract ...

''I feel that these problems are industry wide issues that can only be resolved with tougher regulation.'' Agree, but meanwhile Pipex seem to want to push things that much further than the rest. As an example, read http://bbs.adslguide.org.uk/showthreaded.php?Cat=&Board=pipex&Number=2745378&page=0&view=collapsed&sb=5&o=0&fpart= and ...
