• Re: Legal Cover for motor insurance: Is it worth it?

Hello Paul, Thanks for your reply. You raise an excellent point. I will check my home insurance as this might cover me for legal disputes. I guess it is one of those non-compulsary insurances that lacks in value when never used but gold dust on the rare occassion it might be needed to be called upon. Regards

  • Legal Cover for motor insurance: Is it worth it?

In the words of Holly Johnson, "What is it good for? Absolutely nothing?" What does it actually give? Do you consider it to be of value? Do you take it out? Just interested. Thanks

  • Re: E.R.N.I.E.

I have premium bonds and consider it a 'punt' rather than an investment. I have won a couple of £100 prizes but that is it. You may have more chance of making money by replying to one of those nigerian emails offering you a percentage of one a large sum of money that they are trying to get out of the country... :-)

  • Re: interest only

I had this with the Halifax. I borrowed £100k to buy a second house. The second house is the investment vehicle to repay the borrowings. The Halifax oriingally said they couldn'taccept a house as the repayment vehicle. I said that a situation where they would accept a much riskier vehicle such as an endowment policy was rediculous. ...

  • Re: Rip Off Kwikfit and their 'free' MOT check. Has anyone else had problems???

Thanks Conmankiller. I would have looked into this but I am trading the car in for a new one this weekend so I guess I will have to let it lie... I'd still be interested if anyone else has experienced this type of issue. I know that Kwikfit became a popular insurer choice because of the free MOT offering. Thanks

  • Rip Off Kwikfit and their 'free' MOT check. Has anyone else had problems???

This year, I took out my motor insurance with Kwikfit via MS.com. The Kwikfit quote wasn’t the cheapest but it did offer a free MOT. Happy days, thought I. I took the car in for its free MOT today and was surprised to see it had failed on FIVE points: 1) Offside headlamp aim too low and too far left (might be - no proof otherwise) 2) ...

  • Re: Talk talk driven me to near suicide

Not so much of a good deal when you have to spend all this effort. If you have Sky, they are pretty good but they can't deliver to all areas yet. Give up and move onto someone else while persuing your claim via the small claims court. Personally, I stick with BT. They may not be the cheapest but I think they are the most reliable although ...

  • Re: Gameshows on TV

A mate of mine filmed Golden Balls last week. I think they show the episide sometime this week. I haven't seen him to ask how he got on. He was going to steal if in the head-to-head. He applied online.

  • Motorpoint: has anyone had experience of them?

Hi, I am looking at buying a new car and Motorpoint has appeared on the radar because of price. HAs anyone used them? Any good or bad points? The car is UK spec but only comes with a 2 rather than 3 year warranty. I intend to keep the car for 3-years so that won't affect any resale value. Thanks
