Not to misquote Happysaks but seems a racket to benefit insurers at the costs of injured and vulnerable individuals.........but like all businesses.... some bad, some even worse but some open honest, transparent and consumer focused rather than contracted to insurer's profit targets.

Just for info.....when vehicles are hired on credit which, has been the most fantastic solution for consumers where historically insurers profited from the lack of transport most folks suffered after an accident, there has to be within the contract a term that allows for the enforcement of the charges against the hirer, the consumer as without it ...

the £4/day is the profit up-sell it seems most insurer's agent hire companies add that the law states is not the liability of the injured party as the only reason the payment is required is as it flows from the original act of negligence by the at fault party....another insurance trick some would say....also ALL incidents are reportable ...

Good result, seems contacting credit card and reporting phantom charges, by-passes long winded complaints processes which appear to be always declined by insurers and their agents in order to retain profits.

Just so you know....any monies recovered by DA are yours and they need to prove you had informed consent.....any court hearing your case will not allow any monies to go to DA in respect of Hire given the many breaches of law and FSA Regulations.....so ...all moey recovered by Drive Assit can be recovered from them to you?

If it is of any assistance in this matter I would seek copies of the 'recorded calls' under the Dat ProtectionAct...from the Data Controller at Drive Assist....I regularly do this and the personal comments of the satffand evidence of Non-Compliance of the Insurers and their chosen agents (of misinformation?) makes good and embarrasing ...

You have no worries whatsoever.
It would seem that a false representation has been made using an unauthorised copy of your signature.
To misrepresent a document in order to make a financial gain is regarded as an offence under the Theft Act.
I would seek you contact your local Trading Standards Office....do not bother with Consumer ...
