I'm afraid there isn't a home phone finder on here, your best bet is try homephonechoices.com, or the home phone section of uSwitch.com.

Good advice, didn't know about the 17070 thing.

I think times are much tougher and most people feel worse off at the moment. Even in the South East people seem to be worried about their financial futures, whereas if you looked a year ago people in the South East thought their financial futures were bombproof.
Funny how it can turn so quickly isn't it?

Hi BBJ
Sorry for the delay but since you've posted outside of Ask the Experts I didn't see your post.
Based on where you live, you can't get any LLU anyway. Your best bet is to go with one of the following:
PlusNet Option 2 - £14.99 a mth for up to 8Mb, 8GB broadband and free wireless router
Madasafish Max Broadband - £13.99 for up to 8Mb, 5GB ...

My advice is consider this grocery comparison site - http://www.mysupermarket.co.uk/FirstTimeHome.aspx

Hi Jarvis
Good news.
i) You can get O2 Broadband in your area.
ii) Speeds start at 8mb but they have a 16 Mb and 20Mb products
iii) As an existing O2 customer the 8Mb/unlimited deal is £7.50 a mth
iv) You also get a free wireless router.
I would suggest you go for this deal or the 16Mb deal.
Cheers

Hi Peyman
You've just opened a big can of worms in relation to contracts for broadband providers.
Basically as regulation is 'light touch' then providers can get away with whatever they like at the moment including adding hidden charges.
Ofcom are not doing anything about this and I'm afraid the best advice I can give you is share experience ...

Hi Jarvis
Yes you can get Tiscali and yes with one of their bundle deals you get free line rental - the 8Mb / anytime deal is worth considering.
If you don't go with Tiscali I would highly reccommend O2's new range of products especially if you're an O2 contract customer.
Cheers

I'm sorry Tompaul but I think you need to check your facts.
Three offers 3 plans, all of which come with an option of a 12, 18 or 24 mth contract.
You only get the USB dongle for free is you accept a 24 mth contract on Plus or Max - if you choose any other contract length or option you have to pay.
Like many users, you've been fooled a little ...

Hi Mario
I would reccommend Freedom2Surf - they have a deal called Broadband 4 Gamers , this is specially designed for gamers and costs £24 per mth.
Other alternatives for you would be Be Broadband or O2 Broadband - their deals are ideal for you.
I hope this helps?
Cheers
Jason
