• AHF extended warranty

I bought a 3 piece suite from AHF 4 years ago and took out a 5 year warranty covering accidental damage, wear and tear etc. I contacted them to make a claim today (within the 5 year warranty period), and they have said the company I had the warranty with had 'sold on' our warranty. They then went into administration. I now have to deal ...

  • Re: SKY broadband

Thanks for the reply. The main problem we are having with the router is that it doesnt pick my laptop up unless i am within about 6 feet of the router; it wont work upstairs or in the garden etc. Can I get anything that will boost the signal? Cheers, Em

  • SKY broadband

Ok; first things first, I am a bit computer illiterate!!! Basically, we have a BT line and Broadband is supplied by SKY (Along with phone and TV package). Out router is over a year old and has a really low speed (54 something) so we bought a new router (D-Link) for faster internet connections (4 times faster). To cut a long story short, we need ...

  • Re: VIRGIN ACTIVE GYM MEMBERSHIP

The central point of why I do not think I should have to pay is as follows- I have a doctors note stating I am unable to attend the gym. I am not able to attend the gym (under their policy) unless my doctor certifies be able to attend. So this is not an option for me. Insurance does not cover things such as childbirth and associated complications ...

  • Re: VIRGIN ACTIVE GYM MEMBERSHIP

Not that it is any of your business, but the medical condition is as a result of the birth and hence the reason behind the fact that I cannot attend. My husband's condition AS I STATED is independent from my own. I can assure you it does not affect performace in the bedroom as it des not affect the appendage required for baby making- something ...

  • Re: LEGAL PROTECTION ADDED ON WITHOUT MY CONSENT

My protection this year was £19.99 extra on the policy. I dont think it is fair they added it afterwards. Did you pay by card in one payment, or are you paying by direct debit? If you paid upfront, try contacting your card issuer and explaining they took more than you agreed to. They may get it back for you as unauthorised payment. I have ...

  • Re: VIRGIN ACTIVE GYM MEMBERSHIP

Hi Shark- I have recently had a baby and so my medical reasons are 'new' but we have a joint membership together. Having said that we both have independent doctors letters. Virgin are now asking for a doctors note for people to attend the gym on a new membership (to cover themselves) and so we obviously couldnt get that, so I ...

  • Re: whatever happens insurance

I used to work for Currys (but this monkey is currently swinging in the trees of the civil service.... Not HMRC so dont shoot me! lol) We used to get so much flack if we didnt sell the extended warranties, and yet feedback shows they are very often not worth the paper they are written on. Stick to your guns and do as Landshark advises. Out of ...

  • Re: LEGAL PROTECTION ADDED ON WITHOUT MY CONSENT

Hi there- Was the legal protection added after the quote was given (i.e. if the quote they gave you was £400 and that is what you have paid with the £30 included in the quote, or have they added the sum on top of the quote?) The reason I ask this is that youcould do another quote for insurance and compare quotes- some of them may ...
