• Retail Assistant Manager Salary

Hello. I'm about to apply for a promotion to assistant manager in the shop where I work in Bournemouth, Dorset. It is a very popular town centre shop. We average around 22-25000 quid a week, though over the xmas period we were doing around 50000 per week. We have 12 staff, though generally no more than four working at a time. We have a ...

  • Re: Small, Quick Loan

Thanks for all your help. The bank actually phoned me to offer to extend my overdraft by the amount I needed, anyhow, so problem solved! Thanks!

  • Re: Small, Quick Loan

Thanks for your advice. Obviously, it is difficult to shop around for a loan, as to get a quote leaves a footprint on my report, lowering my chances of getting a loan. Is there any way to get quotes WITHOUT leaving the footprint? For example, I got Motorcycle insurance quotes from eight or nine companies before picking one to agree with, without ...

  • Small, Quick Loan

Hullo. I am trying to buy a motorbike and christmas pressies and such, and quite need about 750 quid. I am full-time employed, making 900 quid per month. I haven't been at the job long, as I just graduated university. The main problem is I have a fairly recent (i.e. under 6 months) default on my credit report due to a dispute I have with ...

  • Re: Buying a Motorbike: Finance or Loan

Sure, that's all sound. But if the guy has all documentation (V5's, MOT papers, etc...) then surely it's sound? And I will be taking a qualified Honda mechanic with me to view, to make sure it's not a lemon...

That makes sense. However, as it turns out she's buying her bike from the Honda motorcycle dealer where she works, so she's pretty much guaranteed they aren't going to rip her off or anything. I'm buying mine off Eblag, however, so can use all the protection I can get. :)

Thank you for your advice. As far as I can tell you're spot-on on all your points. But what do you mean that a credit card would give added protection? -eli

  • Buying a Motorbike: Finance or Loan

Right. My lovely girlfriend is buying herself a new (dependable) bike, as her old (Italian) bike is dying a rapid and noisesome death. Now there are two options, as far as I can see. She can either get finance from the dealership, or get a loan from the bank. We've been leaning towards the bank option, as it would mean she can buy it outright ...

  • Re: Broadband/Phone Credit Check with Virgin Media

I've got pretty bad credit at the moment, scarred by a default. But I had no problem signing up.

  • BT line. Do I need one to get connected?

I've just moved into a new flat. New to me, not new as in just built. I think I've decided on Utility Warehouse "Broadcall Plus" broadband/phone package, as it seems like the best deal for me. So I phoned them up to get connected, and they ask for my BT phone number. I don't have one. They say I must have a BT number ...
