It costs suppliers £25 a meter exchange, I would understand if I had never been with them or they had fitted the pre-pay but they didnt fit it bg did years ago for a previous owner. At the old house we paid scottish power by direct debit and never owed them a penny.

Sounds like you dont want to pay, you really need to arrange something with them. Say I was buying your old tv of you and said I will have it now and pay you later, how would that make you feel?

It used to work that way, but my recent experience has led me to think different. Garages make money for every finance deal they secure. Im not that sure if most with offer any more than a tank of fuel.
