• Backfoot, did the fat lady sing?

Hi Backfoot, The first two posts were not due to dis-illusion about forums; I haven't suddenly seen the light and come around to the idea of them. I think they are a good thing always have done. The reason I didn't answer any of your questions directly was because I was in someone else's post. It may have been a ...

  • Re: Who is the best gas and electricity supplier?

Hi backfoot, I am not one to run from a fight so to speak especially a good one but now we are back and forthing when you or I could be offering a valid opinion to someone in need. Good advice is too hard to come by when you need it the most especially since the rapid decline to virtual extinction of the Citizen Advice Bureaux. So I'll ...

  • Re: Who is the best gas and electricity supplier?

Hi backfoot, In the Re: Scottish Power post you started to advise someone then seemed to get sidetracked by Cate and had a back and forth purpose of forum debate. There was definately a few harsh comments there. Maybe you are a defender of the little man/woman but I did think that the back and forth between you and Cate was of no help ...

Hello backfoot, I am new to this site and having read some of the concerns and your response am hoping that you don't feel the need to respond to any problems I post. Although the softly softly approach is not always the best course of action the cruel to be kind approach is a bitter pill to swallow especially when you have a ...

  • Re: Payment Protection - a condition of the loan?

Hello Cat, Thank you for your words of wisdom and it is refreshing to know that you have seen the light. My circumstances have changed and I am definately a lot less "gullible" but if I ever need a loan again I will be avoiding Lloyds TSB and PPI. icc.chef

  • Re: Shared Ownership - good route to go down or big no-no?

Hi Natasha, I have had a shared ownership house for 4 years and while it got me on the property ladder I would say to anyone considering this step be very careful. Everything I know about shared ownership I learnt through trial and error much to my disadvantage. I was a first time buyer and although I do not believe that the housing ...
