One of the companies doing this is Think Banking but there are others. However, contrary to what you may think from their site, they are NOT part of any bank. They are an independent company and they just put all your money into an account with everyone elses (which is held at a bank, but the bank named does not control that account).
I'm ...

The "fraud" flag you refer to is actually held by CIFAS and is provided to anyone searching your credit file through Experian, Equifax etc.
There are various types of fraud flags, some more serious than others. Information about this is at www.cifas.org.uk. The FAQ section is very useful.
Please note that credit providers etc are not ...

I'm sorry that you are having so much difficulty with getting an account. I used LessThanPerfect.co.uk for obtaining a bank account because I wanted an expert opinion. I was pleased with their service considering my poor credit history. I also used them to get a car lease and that went smoothly also.
I think you should consider that multiple ...

Cat. I have been busy so haven't been keeping a close eye on things. Apologies for my tardy spelling. I can't type that well and sometimes I miss keys and double press others. Perhaps there should be a spell check...
Thank you for your considered argument re: slander etc. However, I have been accused of heinous crimes on the message board ...

I think if you look at the site in question, even they can't guarantee all accounts if you've got an IVA. Perhaps you would prefer they tried walking on water.
As for charging, I was happy to pay. If you're not: don't. I guess it's just what value you attach to it. And they're a business after all, keeping people in jobs ...

I'd like to point out that I have only commented on my personal experience. My own circumstances are/were that I have bad credit and needed a bank account that wan't a basic account. For me, paying a fee for someone to point me in the right direction was well worth it. Some people will differ in their opinion. It worked for me, I dare say ...

I think honesty is the best policy on this one. If they have specifically stated that they won't accept people without squeaky-clean credit my guess is that they'll do their homework and find out anyway.
Coming clean may be the best and only solution. It's better to know now that it isn't going to go through than the day before ...

It may not be much use to you, but perhaps you should speak to your lender again. In these days with call centres etc, perhaps the person you were speaking to didn't have the skills or experience to understand your situation.
Lenders would much rather help you out than repossess your property. Try calling again and ask to speak to a ...

Can I suggest some of the easier-to-get credit cards. With more flexible underwriting criteria, you should be accepted if you don't have bad credit. These cards are useful to build a good standing for people with no credit as well as people who have bad credit. Unfortunately, both are as bad in the eyes of the finance houses.
It helps if ...

Hello All.
I've been busy and not able to look at the postings. Again, and at the risk of being flammed by people who haven't actually tried the company concerned, I did use them and it worked for me. I have also just enquired about a car contract and that is being sorted.
If something does what it says, and isn't either illegal or ...
