Hi b56c, All customers currently on a Price Protection or Energy Saver tariff that ends on the 1st October 2009 are automatically put on to either the R1, R2 or R3 tariff. None of these tariffs have any cancellation fees. So if you go on to R1 and then want to change tariff or supplier you won’t be locked in with a termination fee. Brian

Hi Rocky200, If everything is off there is no way the meter should still be clocking, you’re right to raise this with E.ON. Before you do just double check everything is off, no fridges or freezers still on, appliances on standby, microwave displays etc. There are cases where meters are crossed with other properties, hucksters theory is ...

Hi bhay,
The billing code calculation should be applied from the date you received the amended statement from E.ON. So (without seeing all the information) on first look I'd say the bill is dated 26/06/09 therefore E.ON can charge for consumption back to 26/06/08. Anything prior to 26/06/08 is cleared by E.ON.
What this means is, as you ...

Hi micah's mum, The latest bill you’ve received, was this for £1000+ worth of charges? Or is it the charges are less but it is an accumulated balance that has built up over a period of time? If it’s the latter then the likelyhood is that the Direct Debit has been set lower than necessary over a period of time, leaving the ...

Hi Helen, Your fortnightly payment arrangement is based on your actual usage and a repayment amount for the arrears on the account. The reason for the arrangement increasing may be due to a number of factors, the most likely is your consumption may have increased. If you are struggling to pay the amount suggested by E.ON, there are a few things ...

Hi Jamie, It’s interesting that your usage is highest on the day rate of your economy 7 meter, the appliance that eats the most electricity is (as discussed) this storage heater which should be registering against the night rate. If the day usage on your bills is highest it may be that the two rates are being charged the incorrect way ...

Hi Jamie.Campbell,
Using an average of 34 kWh per day is certainly possible for an all electric property, however I am not saying this is definitely correct. Each case is individual and everyone uses different amounts. An average sized storage heater for example will use around 2-2.5 kWh so if you have this on for 7 x 2.5kWh you have 17.5 kWh ...

Hi romanof21, Looking at your last post and the appliances you have listed 13 kWh per day is a possible amount. The two items that are going to boost the number of units you are using is the water heating and the electric heating. Don’t use the other meters in the communal area as a basis to judge your own consumption, just because your ...

Hi Spellgirl,
I work for E.ON so may be able to give you some advice.
£45 per month sounds low for a duel fuel account, you have probably been underpaying for quite a period of time, especially if you have a debt on the account.
A Direct Debit should take your projected annual usage and divide it over 12 monthly payments. You ...

Hi,
I'd check the terms and conditions you were sent when you signed up for this tariff, they should confirm the details of a termination fee. I'm not aware of the exact details however lots of suppliers have cancellation fees for Capped or Fixed tariffs.
It does look as though the prices may drop soon as some suppliers have ...
