• Re: Starting a Travel Insurance while already out of the country

Hi Mc-Fie There is a company called JBI that can arrange cover for people outisde the UK. Check out their expatriates link on jbionline.com It's not clear whether you are in South America at the moment and will be staying there or if you are planning to travel there after your contract expires. • Re: Policies for couples

Hi Whilst your son and his girlfriend cannot apply for a policy as a couple they should be able to go on the same policy as individuals. If they do go on a single policy then the person making the booking would be taking responsibility for agreeing to the terms of the policy as advised by huckster in an earlier post. As there is no financial ...

  • Re: Help needed in finding a simple single trip UK tavel policy for 12 days

Travel insurance policies that include cancellation cover should provide cover for cancellation as a result of a new injury or illness that occurs after the policy is purchased. This applies to yourself and your wife or a non-travelling close relative. However, it is unusual to find a travel insurance policy that includes cover for the travel ...

  • Re: Insurance for working abroad

Your daughter should be able to find a suitable policy by using the MSM travel insurance comparision tool. If she will be participating in surfing then you will need to check the hazardous activity cover on the policy to ensure that she will be covered whilst surfing. Hope this helps.

  • Re: Travel insurance for pregnant women

Hi If it helps, from 22nd December insurers should not apply a general restriction for pregnancy on travel insurance. New EU legislation regarding gender discrimination is being applied from that date. Insurance companies should no longer specifically exclude pregnancy, policy terms and conditions will most likely be amended to make it clear that ...

  • Re: Travel insurance advice needed

Until the rules change at the end of the year, as mentioned by Purple Viking, companies can still include pregnancy exclusions on their policy. From January you should be able to purchase cover that does not automatically exclude you just because you are pregnant. In the meantime you have the choice of finding a policy that best suits your needs ...

  • Re: Has travel insurance company changed or is this a scam

The current 'Elect Travel Insurance' offerings on MSM indicate that the products are arranged by Insure For Travel so I'm not surprised that they invited renewal using their main brand name rather than Elect. Hope this helps to clarify.

Hi Neal As promised we have investigated the situation for you. • Re: Family members travelling seperately

Hi Costa That depends on your chosen insurance provider. Some policies will allow you and your daughters to be insured even when travelling independently of one another (presuming your daughters are young enough to be included on your policy in the first place). Check the product before you buy to clarify this. Hope this helps.
