You can also try Natwest Step account (basic) come with Solo Debit card, internet banking. Also Yorkshire Bank, OR Clydesdale Bank, Readycash account (basic) comes with Maestro Debit card, Great internet banking, not many branches though, but you can post cheques to the branch to pay in.

Well i thought i'd do a online credit report/rating on myself to see the abbey have credit checked me! NOPE only a search in ''other searches'' non credit, for money laundering purposes! My score was 305 :( out of 475 which is classed as poor, better than very poor at least, lol still waiting to find out if they are declining it or accepting ...

I have sent off all the id etc, just have to wait and see now........ god i hate waiting!

hold that post! may not be getting a full current account now! i applied online, and not heard anything so phoned up the abbey, i asked if i had been successful, and was told it had been accepted.... and i should get a welcome pack in a few days. well it seems, that you then have to send proof of ID and Address, and THEN they do a credit ...

They had refused me TWICE in the past 2 years!! i suppose the time was right, gotta keep on trying, Will be interesting to see what card they will send out, even if it is a electron, I suppose i will be able to upgrade eventually... to a proper card !

Just thought I'd update.... Did an online application with the abbey on 23rd, phoned them today to see if i've been accepted, and they said YES....... Thank god! a proper current account.
