I've spoken with Sony Computer Entertainment Europe for you, their advice was first to call the Playstation Careline again on 08570 99 88 77. If they can't help you then let me know and I'll see what we can do about passing your details directly to SCEE.

    Regards,

    Re: WOOLWORTHS IS ABSOLUTELY RUBBISH

    I need help.

I bought a PS3 from Wolloworths a week ago cos it was cheap, it was actually £225 when other places were selling it for around the £300 mark. I thought it was a fairly good purchase, but later I tried it and there was a fault with its port. I compared the settings to another unit my friend had, and that was ok. Anyway I tried to return it the following Sunday with the receipt only to be shafted by the manager who said the company can exchange it but not refund...so well I thought, thats ok then, exchange is fair enough, then he said they can't exchange it cos they don't have another unit to exchange it with, I said change to an xbox 360, they refused and suggested I go forth to...Sony and give grief to them......which I did only to be shafted again from head office to helpline back to head office again and then told that the unit I got was the old 1st generation 40Gig model which ius not supported and that Wolloworths shouldn't have sold it.

If I paid by credit card am I cool ? Is there light at the end of the our tunnel, I think Woolies dug their own grave and those of their poor unfortunate employees who had the naivety to bend over until it really hurt. :(

    Re: WOOLWORTHS IS ABSOLUTELY RUBBISH

I work for Woolworths, and I know, from the front-line, that it's not easy. Head office management don't seem to understand the fact that we don't agree with the procedures either, very few Woolworths colleagues do, and we can argue to our heart's content, and get nowhere. I've been spat at, I've had things thrown at me by customers, and all I can do is apologise. There is little else I, as a store colleague, can do. Head Office will just tell me that "that is the way it is." Maybe if more people understood what it's like to stand behind a counter in any shop and deal with the public, we might not have all the hassle we get today. Don't get me wrong, 80% or so of the British Public are lovely, kind people, but there are customers who I serve daily who, no matter how politely I treat them, will always throw it straight back at me, and it's not fair, but there's nothing us, as store staff, can do about it.

You did not discuss just Woolworths, you had a dig at me about blue tooth hence the last thread  which you insulted me on, remember this, What was wrong with the Fone Christy, was there a problem with teh bluetooth? Did some credit get stolen by teh bluetooth hackers? put on this thread, so stop lying.. As your so childish to report me then you need to get your facts right your lighthearted banter so you call it, is not funny and if you dish insults then I have the right to defend myself. Y ou and the other person on this thread deliberately goad then report. Now you need to wake up, this is the second time you have done this, , so its alright for you two to have a dig at me  and I am supposed to by your standards grim and bear it no chance, have you bitten of more than you can chew,  I will next time be doing the reporting..

    christy:

This is a thread about Woolworths why do you two constantly go of the beaten track, does anybody on the website or any of the threads really want to observe any of this, no they do not.Its not all about you two, I want to be the centre of attention syndrome, move on stop attacking me, well you really dont expect me to put up with your nasty lowest form of wit, and the fact that  you keep falling over yourselves to keep telling me your only joking do you, all your threads are about YOU YOU YOU and  YOU keep harpening on about past issues,  get a grip. I wonder why your not on the thread to often, is it because people are fed up with your bad behaviour. And yes both of you do need councilling asap, and yes you are sad. And dont be patronising  to me using  phrases like I  feel sorry for you, oh how touching, feel sorry for yourselves dont critizise me, nothing you have said on this thread is constructive comments for me to take any notice of. So get over yourselves and talk about good old Woolies, and the cost of the champagne.

I think you'll find that I discuss Woolworths in all my posts on this thread Christy. I've not gone off the beaten track at all, appart from my lighthearted first comment on this thread. And as for stating that I need counselling? Consider yourself reported to Forum Admin for a wholy unappropriate and very personal comment.

    christy:

Well it is so good of you to take time out of your day to bore me to tears, I dont need any of your lectures, why dont you both reflect on todays serrmons of how to be godly, to the practioners on this website. Your  plan of action ,

1 goad people to get them off site, then you complain and pretend you had no hand in the goading

2 get on all the threads, have your say, provoke a situation then move on

3 try to get everyone to agree with your self righteous, old fashion  ideas.

4 sabotage the threads and the website by getting everyone, bored with your actions, and fed up with you following them round the site, they decide enough is enough, and they leave.. Not in my case.

Now forgoodness, sake move on, the  blue tooth thread is  months old,  do you both need councilling,  to get over it, was this thread so overwhelming it took over both of your lives, as it is doing now.

    What the? :-/

1 We're not goading anyone. Just because we don't agree with you it's goading and provocation?!?!?!?!?!

2 I'm not on "all" threads. Look at my post history! I'm hardly on every thread!!!!

3 Old fashion ideas like understanding a modern technology and the responsibility of the user? Eh?

4 Sabotaging threads? Yes that's why I've only posted about 7 times in the last few months.......

Stop trying to make statements about people like that they need councilling or that they're sad or something like that. If this is how you deal with people who are merely disagreeing with you then I feel sorry for anyone who has to deal with you on a day to day basis. Now stop poo-pooing other people's ideas, opinions and any facts they may post just because they don't agree with yours!!!!!

    Re: WOOLWORTHS IS ABSOLUTELY RUBBISH

christy:Whoever you are I do not answer to you or Blue tooth, and I take no notice of your unintelligent biased comments I find the pair of you very odd and I have worked in retail for years. And never had any problems so you really dont know what your talking about. And Blue tooth get off your high horse and snobby attitude in comparing shops like selfridges and Woolworths I expect the same polite service whereever I shop. Also  why are you saying there are no jobs out there you are talking complete rubbish, there are plenty of jobs you do not need experience in many of them,  today most people are trained up for the job. Right you grumpy old men I suggest you both get of the internet, like you have suggested I do, well there is no chance of that. If you are saying to me your only joking well I would hate to be on the recieving end when both of you are really funny.

Worked in retail for years? Are you one of these "underpaid people who complain that they're on £5 an hour and get shouted at?" I can understand your complete anger and aggression towards everyone on this forum if that is the case - especially towards those that are paid significantly more than £5 an hour to have an expert opinion on such subjects as bluetooth. Anyway, I digress......

I've never suggested you get off the internet, in fact please stick around, its fun to have you here. However I can see where Daniel is coming from in his replies to you - if you read through your posts on this thread in particular you come across as being angry, aggressive, confrontational, and quite rude - I can see why you might be a nightmare to deal with in a situation where you are making a complaint. FWIW might I suggest in future that being calm, informed but firm will get you much better results when you deal with other human beings. May I also suggest that you smile once in a while, and take the jokes as they're meant to be, just light-hearted fun and not personal in the slightest.

I should also point out that I have no snobbery at all towards either Woolworths or Selfridges - I shop at neither store. There is however a tendency to expect the same level of customer service from both those who see retail as a career (selfridges) and those who work on saturdays and during the week simply to fund their way through college/school (Woolworths). Whilst we should all expect an adequate level of customer service, you do get what you pay for in this day and age - if you dont like it shop where the goods are more expensive...

You really do need to calm down. Neither of us said you "answer" to us. Where you get your "unintelligent biased comments" remark from I don't know. Your Bluetooth thread is a perfect example of how you yourself can be unintelligent and biased. Many people tried to explain what bluetooth is, how it works and what you should do to protect your child against any nasty messages and you decided that YOU knew best and that everyone including the expert around these parts (Rob Barnes who happens to have experience of working in the telecommunications industry) was wrong. You don't come to these discussion forums to discuss things with people. You come here to tell people what to think and for that reason I've taken time out of my day to show this to you. An open mind is a pre-requisite for these forums and you certainly don't have one.

    Re: WOOLWORTHS IS ABSOLUTELY RUBBISH

christy:Who the hell are you, and this thread has nothing to do with blue tooth but problems with Woolworths, so why are you going off the beaten track. you two are like stalkers, do you do this to everyone who disagrees with you follow them around each thread on this site, and start talking garbage. And dragging up threads that were finished months ago, why dont you move on and stop aggravating people. Why do you bother going on this site,  you have nothing of interest to say to me, are you now going to start on all these people who have had disputes with Woolworths, are you telling me we are all making it up, and you two know better than we do, well you dont.

Keep that sort of language to yourself please. I was simply pointing out that you make your mind up before you even come on this forum. This is a DISCUSSION forum. That means that we're here to discuss things. To me that means I can come to this forum with a view and have someone present an alternative view and evidence that they are right and it can change my view on things. You however have a closed mind and don't listen to what anyone else says the Bluetooth thread being a perfect example.

You tell people to find another job if they're not happy. How easy is that? Most people at Woolworths are fairly young and from experience of once being young it's not easy just changing jobs when you don't have 10 years of experience behind you. You also say that if Woolies staff are being abused, spat at and threatened that they must either be doing something to them and that they will retaliate against the customer. What kind of rubbish is this? Have you ever worked in a customer service and got the abuse that these people get? Probably not. If you did you'd understand that most of the time you're too scared or too gobsmacked to retaliate.

P.S If you can't take a joke then internet forums are not really your place to be...............
