will a new kitchen boost value

A bit of advice please, we bought our house in June 07 property in our area (havering/dagenham borders had been going up in value til december 07 but is dropping a bit now per land reg price index) anyway we borrow 100% (90% secured 10% unsecured) from NR and have made lots of improvements ie new bathroom new double glazing etc, basically renewed everything apart from the kitchen. My question is we want to boost the value of the propery as much as possible as our fixed rate runs out next june. The kitchen is quite old but acceptable I can pick up a very nice kitchen for about £1500 (40% off sale) and floor tiles and tiles for splashbacks for another £500. So will us spending £2000 on a complete kitchen boost our property by more than 2K. We dont have 2K but we can obtain it via a 0% credit card we have. MAny Thanks in advance

Personally, I think that your last sentence makes your decision for you.

You do not have the money, you cannot afford it.

You will be stretching yourself further and further into debt in the hope that your house might appreciate in value when all the rest are falling.

    Hope this stark message helps...
