    Hi Knobby

I have had Sky Broadband for approx 1mth.   I was extremely apprehensive about changing my supplier in view of all the comments I had read.   Sky staff were very helpful  - they reassured me, after double checking my postcode,  that there should be no problem in my receiving it.  I spoke to a lovely Scottish lady who told me she had installed it herself and she was no computer expert.   The router turned up when they said it would and it was quite easy to set up.  They even left me a message on the answerphone that my line was cleared and it was safe to set Sky up.

Unlike my previous broadband thru' Utility Warehouse(.Telecomms +)  it does not lose it's connection and is considerably cheaper and much faster.

I am on £5 mid range broadband and have signed up for free calls at a further £5 per month.

I am thrilled with the new service - Well done Sky!

    Hi Knobby

Thanks for your post and welcome to the Broadband Forum.

Sky's See Surf Speak range of products are amazing value for money but from a service perspective they have a pretty bad reputation at the moment but I know that Sky are keen to change that.

They do have unlimited products but they have a fair use policy which means you can just download constantly, not sure if they traffic shape but I suspect they may do.

I'm afraid you won't be able to use your own router as Sky insist you use their Netgear modems.

If you want me to advise you of the best deals for you in your area, tell me your postcode and what sort of deal you're looking for.

    Cheers

    Jason

    Hi Guys

Ok I am looking to sign up to Sky See/Speak/Surf package. I've heard a couple of good things about Sky Broadband as in download speeds, No ISP shaping, etc. Alot of problems I have read that people are experiencing are router problems, delivery problems of the router, no CD shipping with the router and poor technical support staff. I'd be using my own router and I am more than capable of setting up this device as long as Sky provide all the connection details.

Any good experiences would be appreciated...

     Cheers

     Knobby.
