Who else apart from rac offers payment for car insurance in 2 installments?

    Hi,

For the last couple of years ive used rac for my car insurance, partly because i really liked that the allowed you to pay for your car insurance in 2 installments (6 months apart). This time around their quote is £100 more than several others ive found so im probably not going to renew it with them. But i would like to know if any other insurance company offer the ability to pay for car insurance in 2 installments, rather than either all at once or by monthly DD.

    Thanks in advance!

    Hiya,

    Try swiftcover.com or the AA.

    Dear jmeasy

Virtually all insurers offer payment by direct debit, varying from 9 to 12 instalments. Be careful of APRs, (which are interest rates charged by insurers for allowing you to pay by instalments, as opposed to paying all at once).

The average APR is 23.5%. Saga, Direct Line and Virgin offer interest free instalments but some insurers charge over 30% APR, such as Kwik Fit, which may not be cost effective.

    Hi,

Thanks for the replies. I am specifically interested in companies who offer you the ability to pay for car insurance in 2 installments, like the RAC do. So far RAC seem to be the only company that offers this though which i find a bit odd! Virtually all companies offer monthly payments but i dont want this - i either want to split it in 2 or il just pay it all at once!
