    Hello Mel,

The best price I can get for you is £9.99 a month for upto 8Mb speeds with a light user cap which is perfect for your needs, the Tec support is average but hopefully you won't need them. The contract length is very small and the set up charge is free.

    Plus Net Option 1 - 0845 1400200

    Hope this helps,

    Mike.

    Hi Mel,

Welcome to the world of moneysupermarket.com.

I am due to be connected to Madasafish.com tomorrow. This has a download speed of up to 8Mb and won the best heavy broadband user award at the iSPAs 2006. I will update you as to how I get on.

    Regards.

    Paul.

See what other people are using in your area. BT is a little more expensive than some, but beware of the hidden charges with other ISPs - that really good deal may not be as good as it first appears.

    Which Broadband Provider to use?

I've recently bought myself a new computer after signing up for an Open University course.

I have been on dial up for the past 4 years but have been told that i will need braodband.  What broadband company would you recomend that would allow me to access my course but not cost the earth (poor student bit)?  I started to look at BT (my phone line is with them) but wasn't too sure if i would be medium or heavy user, what speed i would need etc... , they seemed quite expensive compared to other companies. Other than the course, i'm not looking to use the internet for much else.

     Help,

    Melanie
