    Re: wescot credit services

Rule 1 is to never give out any details to anyone who phones unless you know who they are.

Wescot I believe are a debt collection agency and have probably phoned the number they have been given. As it appears that they have dialed the wrong person or number, I doubt you will hear from them again.

So not a scam, just a wrong number called. They will write to the address they have on their records as the last known address of the debtor.

For reassurance, you could check your credit records with Experian and Equifax, both of whom offer free trials.

    wescot credit services

Hi all, just looking for a bit of advice.

I had a missed call from wescot credit services today, phoned them back with a reference number they left. I spoke to someone that asked me my address and postcode, they then said they can't discuss any information with me as my address does not match up with whay they have and would send a letter in the post. I find this a bit strange as i dont owe any money and why would they have a different address when i have only ever lived at my current address. I am now thinking this is a scam and annoyed with myself that i have given my address out.

Just wondering if anyone has any experiences with this company? Also any advice on what i should do next.

    Thanks
    Rich
