Well,it just works always...............
Hello all forum readers, Well into my second term with MAAF bb int/services and cannot report any issues what so ever with the products i receive from this company. 8 months into having my line rental & calls with them i have no problems with that either & my bills are a hell of a lot cheaper than on BT & Tesco Home phone, for some reason my broadband speed was hanging around 1 to 2 mbps, recent checks on line on my account show me at 3.5 to 4.5 mbps. As in in my other comments on MAAF i would recommend them to anyone, 1st class & A1 sevice all round. Regards tony t

When I ordered this, I understood that it would come with 2 microfilters, instead of the 1 that I have received. I also ordered 2 further microfilters which I have yet to receive. My service is due to start on Tues 19/6/07 and I will keep anyone interested posted as to how I get on, as I am a new broadband user. Paul.

Re: Well,it just works always...............
I'm on talktalk3 international for the grand sum of £21 per month. I make very few calls. How much more would it cost me tony t if I was with MAAF? Ty

Re: Well,it just works always...............
Hi there ty4that, My advise is to look at the web site & select the package you need, add it all up & if its what you fancy try it. Talk Talk is probabley more price competetive but it depends on the whole service element etc that you get from the company & ISP you choose to go with. Since i started with MAAF i can honestley say i have had minimal issues & if i have had any help from the support team & customer service they have been very quick to sort any probs out. My line rental is £9.99, Broadband £13.99 5gb ( got a discount in 2nd year) & i get free eve/weekend calls package with the line rental, my call costs are around £2.50 per month all prices are inc VAT. If you are happy & dont have any probs with your present ISP dont change but if your not A Breath Of Fresh Air with MAAF could be what you need.... Keep me posted Tony T

That's manageable! I'm sold on Waitrose really because they give their profits to charity but I think they're more expensive. Ty :-)

Tony T Hi Tony T, I have got the free wireless router pack ( Wireless G ADSL2/2+ Router kit, worth £60 ) but did not go for the line rental package at present, as I have read it is safer ( + more expensive ) to stick with BT, should there be any issues with the line. No news on my 3 missing filters despite an email to care AT madasafish.com Paul.

Re: Well,it just works always...............
Hi Paul, Believe me mate it dont matter who you are with now adays for your line rental BT, Talk Talk, Tiscali Maaf etc as all companies even BT retail rent the line from BT wholesale ( i know i work for BT)!!!!. If you have an issue with ur line and an engineer comes out from Open Reach (a BT company) you will more than likley ahve to pay any way, your choice mate but i have not had any problems at all since October 2006.... By now tony t

Re: Well,it just works always...............
Thanks Tony T, I am not happy about BTs policy of charging their customers more unless they sign up to pay by Direct Debit, so I may well look at this again. Have you thought about posting to the forum ' Introduce yourselves!! ' ? Paul

Re: Well,it just works always...............
' Introduce yourselves!! ' ? I could not find anything regarding this on Moneysupermarket.com !!!!!! Ref new BT charge, they have made the line rental £11 for everyone, if you pay by non d/d you pay £1.50 p month bill payment fee so your charges have actually gone up by 50p per month & this is where people are not understanding the new charge..you used to pay £36 per 1/4 for l/rental which is £12 p/month, if you still pay by non d/d every 1/4 your standing charge would be £37.50, Try MAAF i dont think you would regret it pal.......but you never know I could be wrong, but so far i have'nt, believe me i am a Yorkshire man & i know what to look for & how to save £'sssss..... Bye now tony t

Hi Tony T, So far I feel like I may regret this. Potentially, I should have been able to use my new MAAF broadband on 18/6/07. Due to the ADSL light on my router constantly flashing and BTs apparent failure to sort this problem out, I am still not connected. Paul.

Samara - Madasafish: Hi pct333, Are you online okay now? I'd be more than happy to help out where I can if the problem is still occuring. Kind regards, Samara Hi Samara, Thanks for asking, but unfortunately I am not. The BT engineer called today and found a fault between the exchange, 1500m away, and our house, which was preventing us from receiving the broadband signal, but having fixed this, the ADSL light on the router continues to flash, suggesting that there is a problem with it, especially as the engineer connected his own Voyager router successfully. I await your reply. Paul.
