    Re: Vodafone mobile phone bill

    Hi Huckster,
Thanks for the response, I have spoke to a manager since and have been told that I will get a call back within 24/48hrs time. Someone eventually are going to look at this issue. After stating that I wanted a copy of my contract she didn't know what to say apart from that she needs to speak to the 'legal team'. Hopefully she can do something or I'll be doing what you have suggested. Don't Vodafone have a timescale to reply back to consumers with compliants or even as they haven't contacted me for such a long time is there a way that something can be done??
    Regards

Of course you have rights. Dealing with these large companies can be painful once things have gone wrong.

Vodafone have not contacted you for months, as they are probably negotiating selling the debt on. The debt companies either chase money on behalf of creditors or they buy the debts. The debt companies that have contacted you so far, probably just had a list of outstanding accounts from Vodafone to chase.

What you need to do is make an official complaint to Vodafone head office Vodafone House, The Connection, Newbury, Berkshire RG14 2FN. Send a letter to their Chief Executive by recorded delivery setting out why you believe the contract was miss-sold and what problems you have experienced since. Ask them for full details of the account including a copy of your contract, advising that you will contact OTELO to look for their help, if you are still unhappy.

    Vodafone mobile phone bill

    Hi,
Could someone please help me with an old account. I signed up to Vodafone back in Nov 07 in store to a 12 month contract, everything was fine till a struggled with a few high bills in may 08, data allowance using internet on my phone etc. Well i fell behind and ended up getting disconnected and charged about 700 pounds due to none payment. To my avail i noticed my bill was actually a 18 month contract not 12 months. I spoke to vodafone about this and sent off a letter to them end of last year asking for a copy of my contract, didn't hear back from them so rang up several times trying to get this info. I had letters from debt companies chasing this debt for vodafone, I told them that i was disputing the debt due to mis-sold contract and i would only pay once happy with final bill, well letters still came then stopped early this year about March time where I forgot about this, until now. I rang up Vodafone the other day to find out what was going, hoping that Vodafone had cancelled the contract because of this issue, well they hadn't, but after eventually finding my account they said yes I had to pay the outstanding debt, well after spending hours on the phone to them trying to speak to a manager to explain about this being mis-sold and i wasn't paying the full amount. I was told to contact collections, who told me that the debt was with a third party company, after getting the number and contacting them they had no details of my account! I then rang Vodafone again to explain who can i speak to after Vodafone would not discuss it as it was out of their hands, so i was told, they then told me that it had been passed back to them, when i don't know but again they just kept saying account has been cancelled due to none payment.
Now please could someone help me with my issue as I don't understand that Vodafone haven't contacted me for months chasing their money, but still expect me to pay for it, even though they are charging me for a 18 month contract. Do i have any rights on this??

    Regards
