Re: Vodafone Mobile Broadband Contract-Views needed?

    Hi adambenf

I'm pleased to see you're happy with the service.

If you no longer need the contract I can understand you wanting to cancel it early.

While it is possible for you to do this you would need to pay the cost of your line rental for all of the remaining months in one payment. This isn't always the most cost effective way of ending your agreement.

My advice would be to ask around friends/family/neighbours to see if it's something they would be interested in having. If they are you'd be able to transfer the contract into their name (provided they pass a credit check) and then you would no longer be responsible for the agreement.

If there is anything else I can help with feel free to give me a shout

    Take care

You can phone and discuss things but my guess is that they will want a cancellation fee nearer 100% of the payments. You should check their current prices before phoning because £40 seems a little expensive for 5Gb and this might give you something to tell them. They are also not great at following through what they agree on the phone although they are better than some of the other phone companies.

You may have to ask around friends and family to see if anyone wants to take on the dongle but it will still be your responsibility to keep up the payments and to cancel the arrangement in March.

    Vodafone Mobile Broadband Contract-Views needed?

    Hi People,

I took out a Vodafone mobile broadband contract that come with a laptop in March 2009. At the time i was living in a place that could not get actual broadband due to it being out in the sticks-but strangely it got a very minimal signal on Vodafone broadband network.

I have been very happy with the service but bought a new house in June and have a package with sky for faster more reliable broadband-I therefore never ever use the mobile dongle which allows me to have 5GB of usage.

This is costing me £40 per month and it seems a bit of a waste as it hasnt been used at all for 3 months-anyone have any clue about whether they would accept a 50% payment for the full amount now and end the contract? I think it has to run until March 2011??

Any ideas/suggestions on how I can end this early would be very helpful..

    Thanks,
