    With this in mind I have refunded all charges on your account that are outstanding. I have also refunded the £58.13 that was debited from your bank and requested that this be returned to your bank accounts. This can take up to 14days to process.

    I have also let DLC know about the changes and refunds I have made to your account.

    If you have any more questions then please let me know. This will resolve things for you though and get things cleared up once and for all.

    Hi govindsa

    I'm sorry for the confusion here.

    As per the email you don't need to worry about DLC any longer as Wayne (who is part of my team) has already credited the charges to you and let them know about the changes and so this contact will now stop.

    I'm glad we could resolve this for you.

    My Problem is that I am receiving repeated calls and letters from DLC [Direct Legal Collections] asking me to pay the GBP50.82. DLC continue to send letters saying that they will take legal action on me or a debt collector will visit me and collect the balance. This is totally unfair.

    Please instruct DLC to stop calling and sending letters to me and solve the issue by refunding the excess amount taken.

    Thanks for getting back to me.

    I am unable to provide my personal email address for security reasons. The Contact Us form on the Vodafone website guarantees security when you are sending your details.

    In the first instance if you can send us your details with FIT135 and a link to this thread then we will be able to investigate for you.

    Dear Kirsty_Vodafone,

    I just filled in Contact Us form in your website, but it does not allow me to attach the evidence letter that proves my cancellation. I cancelled my account as per the Vodafone terms and conditions. But now I am being unfairly charged after my line has been disconnected.

    Please provide me your E mail address so that I can send all the evidence.

    thank you for your comment, I have recently e-mailed vodafone but have not received a reply. I will e-mail you again with a link to this thread and FIT135 in the body of the text. Hopefully you will look into and be able to resolve my issue.

    Okay, write them a final letter giving them 7 days to respond substantially, failing which you will begin legal action in the small claims court. Send by 'signed for' delivery. And then if they still don't respond, go to the local court and start the action. I believe that you can actually do it online these days.

    It's your money, make sure you claim for expenses as well.

    Vodafone is a massive company and I believed that they would not unlawfully take direct debit from my account. This was due to the trust I had for Vodafone. I have written through them through recorded delivery and there has been no action or refund from Vodafone

    Why didn't you contact your Bank and cancel the Direct Debit with Vodafone, after the final payment had been taken? How hard can that be? Stop calling them, and start writing to them, via recorded delivery.

    Vodafone continue to charge me after my contract has finished

    As per Vodafone’s contract terms and conditions, I sent a letter to cancel my account a month before the end of my contract. In response to my letter Vodafone accepted the cancellation and replied: “if there is really nothing more we can do we will disconnect you as you have asked”.

    My contract which was of £17.50 a month was cancelled. This is further proved by their text message which reinforces the fact that my line was to be disconnected.

    However, despite this, I realised a month and a half later that Vodafone had taken in excess of £58 from my account through direct debit. This uses a tariff of £35 per month. After I cancelled my direct debit with Vodafone, they have decided to charge a further one and a half months.

    I have tried to contact Vodafone but their customer service is awful. When I phoned them, I am being connected to different places and to different people, who know anything about my situation or my account. When I sent letters, Vodafone did not reply but simply sent another bill.

    Surely, it is unfair to charge someone after it is clear that their contract has finished. Secondly, the new tariff is double that of the old one. What am I supposed to do?

    Therefore, be careful, when you subscribe to contracts.
