HAving exactly the same problem. There are other people on here with the same problem. Oftel wont look at individual cases but if there is enough of us that have been caught out like this, they may be more interested. That or Trading Standards. It s pretty sneaky trick to play.

Vodafone changed my price plan without my knowledge

Last summer during upgrade agreed to stay with Vodafone only if my price plan will be lowered to £20 a month, for this I gave up from 750min to 500min. But, because I wanted a new handset as well, I had to sign 18 months contract, instead of 12 months. Just realized, that from March I've been charged £30 instead of £20. Called Vodafone, first advisor told that discount expires after 1 year, second advisor told it expires after 9 months. During upgrade I have never been told that my price plan will change after some time. We agreed about price plan, not some period when some kind of discount will be applied.

During the call I requested a recording, which was taken during my latest upgrade. They told that records are not available. Now without records I can’t prove that during my last upgrade someone “forgot” to mention some very important details, I feel tricked into signing contract for such long term.

I would like to make everyone aware about, how Vodafone tricks people into signing contracts for longer terms. If someone has experienced something similar, please, write about it. How shall I solve this problem?
