Virgin Media Customer wants to move

Okay I've been having a few issues with Virgin Media and I want to move to a different company.

I've been with BT and we had to cancel our contract with them as we went over the cap in about a week downloading a couple of drivers for my partners computer and general web browsing. So I don't really want to go with them, but I need an active BT line for other service providers.

I also don't want to pay more than what I am paying now. I'm currently paying £30.75 for Large broadband, line rental, caller display and full itemised billing and the basic TV package.

What companies can I go to without having to pay line rental to BT and another company.

Virgin are cable, and depending where you are in the country, maybe the only cable provider. All the others need a telphone line, usually BT.

However some offer line rental as well, but still a BT line. Sky is one of them, I have sky talk with free evening and weekend calls, medium broadband 8 mbps speed, and 40 Gig download per month, plus sky+ tv with one package added to the basic, all for £27.00 per month. Sky will charge you £10 including vat for line rental and give you caller waiting and caller display for free.

Paying for all calls and taking the lower broadband package will drop it down to £16.00 still including sky+ tv.
