Re: Virgin have accidentally disconnected me!

Virgin Media are actually pretty good if you can get to speak to the right department and person. It can get very frustrating, if you phone their normal customer service line, as I am not sure they always know what to do.

I think you need to speak to the team dealing with payment issues and they will speak to the people that organise re-connections. I suspect that because you had payment issues, the only people authorised to sort out your issues, will be the people that deal with account payment issues.

When I have had issues with installation for example, I needed to speak to a specific team that dealt with technical issues. This is why I am guessing that all your problems with the disconnection are relating to the payment issue.

If you don't have access to a phone, I guess you will need to borrow your parents or a friends phone.

    Virgin have accidentally disconnected me!

Well, I really dont know where to start on this one....

For the past 2 weeks, I had my services removed as I had an oustanding balance. I'm unemployed at the mo and on job seekers, anyways, I spoke to Virgin who stated that I had to pay £43 to get my services back on then I would sort out a payment plan with them, at the mo i've got around £80 still outstanding....so last Wednesday I received my money and called Virgin and paid the £43.I was told that my services would be switched back on, and actually came straight back on whilst I was still on the phone.

I then went out and came back around half 6 in the evening.....went to pick up my house phone to make a call....no dialing tone! Then had to top up £10 in my mobile and called Virgin...after being passed about between around 4 different people, was told that someone at Virgin had disconnected my whole package by accident and the lady couldnt work out how she even managed to disconnect it. Was then told that everything would be reconnected withing 24 hours. The lady also said she would call me back the following day. She did call back the following lunchtime to state that my services will be reconnected that evening and she would get back in touch so I can sort my bill out.....i'm still waiting on that reconnection!

I was at my parents on Saturday and had to use their house phone to call Virgin, passed again between around 5 different people, was on hold for most of the time, and was then told that it doesnt take 24 hours to reconnect, it takes 5 WORKING DAYS!! Due to it being a full reconnection it takes that long and was told it would be back on Wednesday (today), a full week (5 working days) after I was disconnected. I then asked to be put through to someone so I could claim back some sort of compensation and was put on hold for 10 minutes, then they hung up! I have NEVER come across such awful customer service! I have been with virgin for a while.

I don't know what to do now??? I have no way of contacting them, I don't know where I stand and completely and utterly fed up with it all! x
