I am sure the 2 mb connection would be fine. £40 for a wireless router isn't too bad. You can probably find one cheaper but then, for the sake of a couple of quid, is it worth the hassle?

It depends what you use it for. I have a 2 MB connection (M) with Virgin. I have 4 machines using it for surfing, working from home over VPN etc and the occasional downloads (which I do at night) and it is fine.

I'd only bother with the big bandwidths if you are into major online gaming.

    Hope this helps...

Virgin Broadband - M or L? Need wireless router..

Hi, I want to get broadband from virgin, but I am not sure if to choose M or L. I find L is rather expensive for what it is (compared to offers from Tiscali for example..) but I need a wireless router, which would be free with L and £40 with M.

Three PCs/laptops will be using this connection, is it better to go for L in that case anyway? Is the difference between M and L very noticeable? Thanks!!
