i told them forget it there no point as it takes them over a month just to get it all sorted and booked up. this is poor customer service.

That is certainly poor customer service, but I come back to my original point, either you want the speed and "unlimited" download, and possibly cable TV, (compared with BT phone line delivered broadband) or you don't. Check what speed you should get in your area from your phone line. Also check whether you are in a Plusnet "Value" area as that sets the minimum cost. Then decide which product best fits your needs.

I would say its worth making the effort to get cable installed to the house. Then its done for next time.

    Re: virgin broadband

The VM engineers are targeted to complete quite a few jobs per day and they are only allowed a limited time per job. As a result, if they meet a problem which will take longer, they make excuses as to why they won't do it. Suggest that you get on the phone and make an official complaint.

The last time I have a VM engineer out a few years ago, they were moaning about this.

Either you want cable broadband (and its speed and "unlimited" download advantages) or you don't. Judge them by their response to the problem.

It's hardly surprising that a not recently used connection is found not working when tried.

    virgin broadband

    Hi,

Virgin had told me that i have acess to fibre optic broadband and they could send modem to me and i would be ready to go but when i coulnt get online they said there is a fault with the connection outside. this has given me very bad impression,

I was wondering if i do not sign the contract sent to me by virgin media am i still bound by it? I have recieved one letter stating i am free to cancel within 28 days ( happiness gurantee) and they would return all money owed including connection fee/engineers work and monthly package fee,,,,,,,,,,,, but on the contract that they want me to sign and send back states i have seven days to cancel and will be billed for admin/ postage installation and broadband downloaded.

Please help as engineers are coming today to install.

    Mny Regards
