Yeah i had to sign another 12 month contract, but its worth it. I pay £17.99 for option 1 total broadband, my line rental is £10 ish a month, i have free evening and weekend calls, so in all it will cost me roughly £23 a month, plus any chargeable calls i make!

    Very Happy with BT..... eventually!!!

Just thought i would share my views on BT and the deal I have managed to get out of them! I signed up to their option 3 total broadband (BT have always been my ISP) When i moved house and after a lot of hassle with Talk Talk!! (another story altogether!) I was dumbstruck when i received a bill for £85 and immediately called to enquire exactly what i was being charged for. After speaking to many different people all over the world, it seems that the first guy i spoke to had completely designed a package that he felt i needed... and billed me for it too!!! I explained that i would never have agreed to the terms had it all been made clear to me in the initial call, and enquired about having a MAC code to move provider, under the grounds that i was completely mis-sold the package in the first place. I was informed that my contract was up in April, and i threatened to leave. After speaking to a very nice man based in the UK.... (at last!) we agreed to downgrade my package to option 1 as that was all i needed, free evening and weekend calls through the homehub (which was free!!!!!) and if i decided to renew my BT contract for another 12 months, they would knock off an extra £5 a month!!!!!!! In total then broadband is £17.99, £10 ish for line rental, minus my £5 every month, makes a very nice package indeed!! Everybody is happy,,,,, especially me!!! Just goes to show.... if you dig your heels in, and fight..... sometimes it can pay off..... i did for me. A very happy BT total broadband owner!!!!!!!
